BRECKS FEN EDGE AND RIVERS LANDSCAPE
PARTNERSHIP SCHEME
BFER has 24 core BFER projects based around 4 themes:
Restoring the Water: Suppor琀椀ng Species and Habitats
Under the Surface: Discovering Heritage
Working Waters: Heritage skills for the future
Revealing the Rivers: Connec琀椀ng with Communi琀椀es
Environment Agency WEIF funding underpins the BFER
programme, suppor琀椀ng the establishment of the variety of
projects. The BFER programme also gave us an opportunity to start
a series of four ambi琀椀ous 昀椀sh pass projects, two of which have
been completed within the scheme 琀椀meline. The table below
shows the total BFER HLF grant, the value of the projects that will
directly improve the water environment (these will count as matchfunding for WEIF) and the value of those projects that are counted
as addi琀椀onal bene昀椀ts as they boost understanding of local rivers,
including their heritage, and their value for wellbeing.
