FUNDING STREAMS 2024/25
Funding from Water, Land and Biodiversity (WLB) Porvolio
The WEIF capital programme is
the core of our Environment
Programme funding and early
alloca琀椀on enables our partners
to boost its value with matchfunding for projects that
improve the water
environment. In recent years,
the WEIF capital alloca琀椀on has
typically been a one year
alloca琀椀on, and this year that
alloca琀椀on was rela琀椀vely small.
It was great to be able to
support further projects when
addi琀椀onal WEIF Capital funding
became available in year, but in
some cases, partners struggled
to secure match-funding owing
to the 琀椀ght 琀椀mescales.
With a new 4-year spending
review bid being considered by
DEFRA we are looking forward
to having a robust WEIF Capital
Programme in place where
partners have more security in
grant funding for them to
con昀椀dently bid for matchfunding.
