Phase 2 (2024-26) of the Riverlands programme
aspires to create freshwater landscapes rich in
wildlife, with thriving species, restored and
connected habitats, and cleaner water. Through a
catchment-based approach and nature-based
solu琀椀ons, it will tackle climate change while
strengthening resilience. The programme also aims
to deepen public connec琀椀on to nature, encourage
wider par琀椀cipa琀椀on in conserva琀椀on, and empower
communi琀椀es to lead their own ac琀椀on for healthy
