MARKSHALL MARSH
RURAL LAND
MANAGEMENT
Working with:
Norfolk FWAG

EA Lead:
Amy Prendergast
Markshall Marsh is located between the
connuence of the Rivers Yare and Tas, both
are chalk streams.
The marsh has patches of diverse nora and
plants characteris琀椀c of lowland noodplain
meadow, but the site was drying out, so we
sought to improve connec琀椀vity with the river
and the noodplain. As well as restoring some
open water habitats with water control
structures to allow the water level on the
marsh to be kept higher.
